Dear Colleagues,

The conference web page is now fully populated. It has the plenary,
parallel and poster schedules. There is information for all
presenters, the participants list and list of abstracts. Also pictures
from our last visit at the end of May. Please visit

-- Weather:
The weather in July is expected to be pleasant. Please check the
forecast at any weather site. The location is Olympic Valley,
California 96146, USA. For example see:

-- Registration
Registration will be open form 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday July 10 with
light buffet welcome reception in the same room from 6:00 to 8:00
pm. The location is the Palisades room next to the hotel reception

-- Program Highlights
All plenary, parallel, and poster presenters please see instructions

The conference starts at 8:30 am Monday July 11 at the Squaw Valley
conference center. The conference ends on Saturday July 16 at 12:30 in
the afternoon.

All plenary sessions will be held at the Squaw Valley conference
center. All parallel sessions will be held in the cluster of
conference rooms near the hotel reception area.  The poster session
will be held at the Olympic house and will be open from Monday to
Thursday evening.

-- Excursion
The excursion will be on Wednesday July 13. Please visit
http://tsailab.chem.pacific.edu/lat11/excursion/ for details.  You
will be able to register for one of the organized excursions during
the first two days of the conference.  Alternatively, one may opt for
a separate, self-organized activity.  There will be 3 organized
options:
* Hiking: There will be a free, guided hiking trip from Squaw Valley
up Shirley Canyon.
* Whitewater Rafting: A half-day guided whitewater rafting trip on
the Truckee River, with Class III rapids.
* Lake Tahoe Kayaking: A 2-3 hour guided kayaking tour along the
north shore of Lake Tahoe.

-- Banquet
The Banquet will be held at the restaurant at High Camp from 8:00 to
10:00 pm on Thursday July 14. All registered participants and
registered accompanying persons will receive a ticket for the gondola
cable car ride to High Camp in their registration package. Please note
that the gondola cable car caries a maximum of 90 people and therefore
there will be several trips at 15 min intervals. Ample time is
provided. A cash bar will be at High Camp prior to the banquet so head
up early.

-- Hazards
The conference venue is a major tourist attraction and is
safe. However, please be aware of the following:

The conference location is at an altitude of 6,200 feet (1,900 meters)
above sea level.  The banquet will be at 8,200 feet (2,500 meters).
Please be aware of possible effects of altitude on you.  For example

Also, please be aware of the dangers of the mountains and exercise
caution if you plan to go into the mountains.

The conference is not responsible for your well-being.
